REDLANDS, Calif. — A new teen innovation center at the Boys & Girls Club is already changing how local youth engage after school, offering hands-on access to advanced technology and creative tools designed to inspire the next generation of engineers, creators and entrepreneurs.
The newly opened Garner Holt Teen Innovation Center is aimed at teens ages 11 to 18, providing a space where creativity and technical skills intersect.
The center is equipped with 3D printers, modeling software, screen printing tools, esports and a laser cutting machine.

David Ruiz, a 16-year-old junior at Citrus Valley High School, has spent half of his life at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside.
His regular hangout spot, which had previously consisted of a couch, a pool table and a small television, has now been transformed into a state-of-the-art technological haven.
On Tuesday, April 14, the Boys & Girls Clubs unveiled its new Garner Holt Teen Innovation Center, revamping the space to accommodate four 3D printers; a laser cutter for crafting projects across a variety of materials, including wood, acrylic, and leather; and a vinyl printer capable of producing stickers and designs on clothing. The room also has six new computers for attendees to use.
Ruiz, who plans to pursue a degree in aeronautics engineering, said the Teen Innovation Center allows teens to express their creativity.
Inland Empire Health Plan honored with Boys & Girls Clubs 2026 Champion Award

Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP) and Delia Orosco, director of IEHP’s Community Wellness Centers, received the Champion Award from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside during the nonprofit’s 30th annual Chocolate & Champagne Fantasy Gala on Feb. 7 in downtown Redlands.
The annual fundraiser supports the Boys & Girls Clubs’ efforts to fund spaces and mentorship opportunities for area youth, while also spotlighting the people and organizations who support its mission.

Hundreds of toys found their way Wednesday, Dec. 10, to the Redlands clubhouse of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Redlands-Riverside.
Employees of Les Schwab Tires helped the jolly elf deliver them to eager children during the clubhouse’s Holiday Extravaganza..

Community leaders and families came together at the Boys & Girls Club in Redlands on October 8 to celebrate the opening of a new $150,000 playground – a welcomed club addition designed to bring more play, movement and connection to Redlands youth. The special dedication ceremony and ribbon cutting brought together community leaders, donors, and families to celebrate the new addition — a vibrant, safe space designed to encourage active play and healthy development for local youth.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside invite community to Day for Kids

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside invites the community to its annual carnival-style Day for Kids event, to be held 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Redlands club, 1251 Clay St.
The free event will include a Kids’ Zone sponsored by Molina Healthcare, with games, crafts and other hands-on activities. There will also be live entertainment, food, a rock-climbing wall, pickleball, a bounce house, raffles, a book giveaway and an animal exhibit by Dan the Wild Man, according to a news release.
Special San Bernardino County Museum Takeover Backpacks from SoCal Gas

In Redlands, roughly 100 kids from the Boys Girls Club took a trip to the San Bernardino County Museum for a special museum takeover.
The kids were learning about fossils and enjoying interactive exhibits as part of the fun. Of course, there was celebratory ice cream to wrap up summer in style, and the kids then got ready for the school year with free backpacks and school supplies supplied by SoCal Gas.
Kids enjoy Kohl’s shopping sprees in Redlands and Riverside

Ask the nearly 150 youths who collected clothes and supplies Saturday, Aug. 2, during two Kohl’s shopping sprees.
In Redlands and Riverside, members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside got to grab $200 worth of merchandise.
Free summer meals nourish kids across the Inland Empire

Every weekday, Inland Empire public schools serve up meals for kids.
That includes summer.
With classes over for the school year, school districts are teaming up with cities and others to keep the breakfasts and lunches coming.
For example, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside on Tuesday, June 17, offered hot dogs at the Redlands clubhouse.
